One of the easiest way to be a full timer for a fresh graduate is from the intern track. By becoming an intern it means the company have a resource that was dedicated to help and guides the interns, maybe it is also a sign that the company willing to convert those interns into a full time employee. I myself was hired as a full time employee at AWS using the intern track, so I can skip the hardship of facing loop interview and a bar raiser in AWS hiring process. This is the way I raise the bar and rehired.

  1. Become Proactive

One of the tips to shine is to become proactive. The way proactive means is people in the team are engaged by your presence. You can show yourself and confidently talks to the team and fit in to the team. Making a good relationship is also a good way to start.

2. Become a person who is easy to work with

Being a kind person who is easy to work with is a massively underrated career hack as it allows you to build positive relationships, enhance communication, foster collaboration and teamwork, develop a strong professional reputation, reduce conflict and stress.

These qualities contribute to a more enjoyable and productive work environment, open up networking opportunities, and can lead to career advancement and increased job satisfaction.

Become a person who solve and help others to solve their problem not some beggars asking for help for your task. Be a person who brings joy to others and bring out motivations not bothering them without giving something back

3. Take on Initiative

If you are an intern you are not expected to do something huge. You also have some kinds of project that you need to work on. But if you want to differentiate yourself, do something more. Take on initiative, initiative doesn’t need to be huge. For example you can shadow your mentor to a client meetings and take on initiative to write the Meeting notes. Or ask for another job if your task is finished. Because by taking on an initiative showing that you have some kinds of ownership to the company.

4. Insist on Highest Standards

Leaders have relentlessly high standards — many people may think these standards are unreasonably high. Leaders are continually raising the bar and drive their teams to deliver high quality products, services, and processes. Leaders ensure that defects do not get sent down the line and that problems are fixed so they stay fixed. — AWS Leadership Principles

5. Be come a figure that your team will lose something when you’re not with them

One of the key success of having an impact is, when you are not present. Other’s will find that they are lacking something they are missing something. When you are at that level, you are indeed needed in your team

6. Build a legacy

If you are building stuff as an intern. Make sure you build a legacy to the company whether it is a reusable artifact or something else. If you build a legacy and you are the sole maintainer of the project, the company will be dependant to you. Without you the company will lose one of it is valuable asset.

TLDR,

You need to differentiate yourself from others. Show your grit and passion to drives the team towards something more.
